Gloria Schwartz, B.A., M.A., is an Ottawa-based personal trainer, the Focus on Fitness columnist for The Ottawa Jewish Bulletin, and a motivational speaker. She enjoys running half-marathons, working out, and spending time with her husband, sons, and dachshunds.
Gloria's mission is to help people overcome negative thoughts and adopt a healthy, active lifestyle so they can optimize their physical and mental health and get lean, fit, and strong—at any age.
As a young woman, Gloria Schwartz was given a grim prognosis that left her feeling helpless. The ensuing years of illness-related anxiety and a poor lifestyle further exacerbated her medical condition. A series of events in her 40s prompted her to take a few small steps towards a healthier lifestyle—steps that evolved into a transformational journey of mind, body, and spirit. Without any gimmicks or diets, she got lean and fit, became a long-distance runner, improved her health, and altered her destiny! Now her mission is to help you become your Personal Best!
